After picking up guitar to impress the boy I liked, I began writing music around the age of 16 as a way to apologize for all the things I was about to do. Once the apologizing was over, it was too late - I'd fallen in love.

Now it's about the holiness, the memories, and the blank canvas of a few uncomfortable chords begging to be written over. It's to make him sorry. It's to make him proud! Isn't it always?

Now I'm just trying to write some songs that are going to make The Killers wish they'd thought of it first to pay them back for the Pressure Machine album.
